As one of Tuscany’s top winemakers, he has made it his mission to provide satisfactory, premium-quality Italian wines for anyone who should wish to sample what a genuine bottle of wine should taste like. Indeed, Marco Bacci was not born into a winemaker family, as so many are; instead, Marco’s family owned a prominent jeans manufacturing company. Marco did as expected and joined the family business at the start of his working life – but he’d always had a passion and fascination for wine. Indeed, growing up in Tuscany – a place where fine wine was always an accompaniment for a fine meal – led to an incredible passion for wine. This would lead him to buy the Castello di Bossi wine estate, which bordered Florence and Sienna, where he would learn more about the soil, the vines, and the made. This was in 1983; then, in 1985, he would create his first bottle of wine.

It was always his passion and ambition to own the best appellation in Tuscany – although he never perhaps realised just how successful his wines would become, nor that they would end up being sold as some of the finest wines on the Singapore market!
These purchases would give him over 200 hectares of fine-quality vineyards to work with to create his exquisite wines. He now collaborates with Jacopo, his son, to produce wines under the Bacci Wines brand that genuinely speak of Tuscan quality. Bacci Wines is all about quality, and no compromises are made to ensure customers enjoy the most delicate bottle of wine possible.

One of the contributing factors to the Bacci wine quality is that of their unique growing conditions. The grapes are grown 350 metres above sea level in the Southern sight of the Chianti Classico, with a complex abundance of different soil types – truly a wine-growing paradise! The complex soil structure ensures that the grapes have a well-rounded and developed profile and a golden, smooth flavour – the ideal ingredients for creating fine quality wines.
Each of the three vineyards has been carefully planned, with management structures being individually created to make the most of each estate’s unique soils and climate.
